bunnies!

After a very busy few days I relaxed with Helen today and we made some sock bunnies.

Sock-bunnies

Georgie and Alex kidnapped four of them when I brought them home, I need more practice on their faces but they were fun to make.

Alex and Sam worked on the pool today, we needed to flatten the base before refilling it so they shifted two tonnes of sand and levelled an 18' square area. It will take a day or so to fill and then hopefully we will get some more warm weather to heat it up. I love our local outdoor pool but it gets far too busy once the school holidays start.

his last day of school

Alexander finished his second year at Welbeck Defence Sixth Form College yesterday, we drove up for the parade and inspection and then all the way back home again, car filled with the last of his room contents as he and Helene stayed for the ball last night. Now we wait for A level results in August to see if he goes onto University in September. I am so grateful to the MOD for the opportunity he has had, it's helped to shape him into the lovely young man he is today and I am very proud of him, whatever his exam results.

Congratulations to all of the Welbeck 07 entry who made it through to the end.

summer is here

I have spent most of the past week down at the pool or the beach, enjoying the sunshine and cooling off in the water. Of course I had to work too but took a three hour break each day for myself. I've read three books, started on another I bought for on holiday (in two weeks time YEY) so I'll have to do more book shopping before we go.

A couple of projects ongoing in my studio but I decided to try a digi layout for a change, not very successful as it turns out but I will print the elements out and use them in my art journal so not a waste of money for the kits. (yes I know there is a spelling mistake but before the spelling police smack me it's been corrected on my original.)

Lost-in-a-fantasy

I'm stuck at the moment with no printer, my Epson R800 gave up the ghost but it's £260 for a new one so it's away for repair. Hopefully it's nothing serious but until it's back I have bought a little HP 6x4" to finish my projects. Not that I have wired it up yet, I keep waiting for a rainy day to do the tedious stuff.

The room I was using as a work room at home is still a tip, I moved what I wanted out of it and left the tut. I will do it but it's a horrid job so I keep finding other stuff to do instead. Steve, bless his little cotton socks, has not said a word, no nagging, nothing. Until yesterday, but instead of telling me off all he said was that if I clear it out and decorate it I can have a new 24" iMac to go in there. Guess what I'm doing next week?
